2 Necklaces for the LION LOVERS...or those born in AUGUST, the LEO

Today I'm featuring a couple of my jewels for the LEO's or the LION LOVERS out there. Both of these are woven masterpieces, truly one of a kind collectible jewels.

Remember, prices quote INCLUDE FREE SHIPPING and these are first-come first-served, as they are one of a kind and cannot be repeated. EMAIL ME to secure your selection.

The first necklace featured here is "Queen's Garden". I made this incredible necklace a few years ago. It features a big and chunky, han-sculpted polymer clay LION focal bead. This focal bead measures 2" in size. The necklace "chain" or "collar", is hand-woven with a variety of vintage beads, both glass and plastics, in a variety of colors and it measures 18" long with the chunky bead width being 2" wide. It's a colorful necklace, heavy, choker style - the pendant should rest right under the base of the throat. I've fashioned a fish hook clasp on the back of the neck wire to fasten. Definitely a STATEMENT MAKER - just like us "leos" like to do! The focal pendant is signed JAI with my official signature stamp on the back. The normal price for this necklace is $345. One lucky visitor here can acquire this true one of a kind jewel TODAY for only $150 (that includes shipping!). View a close up of "Queen's Garden" here.

The next necklace shown is titled "His Majesty". The perfect necklace to bring out the majestic, regal qualities in the wearer, "His Majesty" offers a cloisonne hand-fashioned polymer pendant of a lion profile (based on a photo of a real lion.) Genuine gold leaf floats throughout the design, and a tiny gold lion pawprint adorns the rich, cobalt blue background. The setting features a brass wire frame, and the pendant hangs from a hand-chained necklace, featuring rare vintage lampwork swirl beads in matching colors, fancy vintage champagne cut crystals, and glass based ivory faux pearls. Pendant is signed Jai with my official stamp on the back. The Pendant measures 2 1/2" x 2" and the necklace length is 17". Original price for this one of a kind collectible is $225...get it here now for only $100! View a closeup photo of "His Majesty" here.

DECEMBER Rings, for those born this month 12/2/07

Blue topaz is the color crystal for those born in December, and turquoise is a gemstone for those this month. I've created two rings for this month, pictured here.

To acquire either of these rings EMAIL ME.

The first ring is total glitz for the holiday season! It features three Swarovski blue topaz crystal beads, offset with rhinestone rondelles and woven with six genuine freshwater pearls. Formed with brass wire, this one of a kind ladies ring is a size 7 and it is priced at $40. In the Middle Ages, blue topaz, the crystal color for those born in December, was thought to heal both physical and mental illnesses and prevent death.

The second ring shown has a natural look, and features a turquoise bead with a fascinating pattern showing. Formed with copper wire, this ladies ring is a size 8 and it is priced at $20. Turquoise, a stone also for those born in December, attracts money, success, and love. It gives protection, healing, courage, friendship, and luck. And best of all, it eases the mind and mental tension.

Have you noticed our new name? A Woven Woman (http://www.awovenwoman.com/) was selected not only because of the type of work, but because of the womans similarity to the ever-popular ladybug. You can read about the comparison in the sidebar to the left. I designed the ladybug diva logo specifically to represent the company. The ladybug diva logo is now available on products as well --> see them on the left sidebar too! And keep watching, as I'm designing a compilation of other patterned diva artwork! Soon you'll be asking the question, What kind of diva are you? :)

To acquire either of these rings EMAIL ME. Or if you want to see more photos, feel free to email me and ask - I will oblige!

Strawberry Crystal Pendant Sculpture + Cross Pendants 11/27/07

Good morning! Today I'm sharing a strawberry pendant and 4 cross pendants.

EMAIL ME to acquire any of the jewels shown. All prices include shipping. Click on the photos to see larger versions!

The first jewel shown is a strawberry pendant. This started off with me sitting down to play with wire and red beads. Soon it took the shape of a strawberry, all on its own! I added green crystal beads to simulate the leaves and a few freshwater pearls, giving this pendant the name "Strawberry & Cream". Made from brass wire, ruby red crystal beads, emerald green crystal beads and freshwater pearls, this is a one of a kind sculptured pendant. The bail is below the edge on the back, making it hang as shown when wearing. By placing the bail there, the pendant will not swivel --> it will always show the front side when wearing. The pendant measures 1 1/2" in size and the bail will hold a 2mm cord, neckwire, or chain. The pendant price is $45. The cord shown is for demonstration purposes only and is a 2mm cord. If you would like me to make you a custom length black rubber cord necklace with a magnetic clasp, I will do so for an extra $10.

The first cross pendant shown here is the first one I've created using sterling silver wire. "Emerald Ice" is the name of this unique cross, as the pendant features emerald green crystal beads and clear crystal beads on the sterling frame. The pendant measures 2" x 1 1/4" in size and the bail will hold a 3mm or smaller chain, cord or wire. The price of this pendant is $35.

This next cross pendant is titled "Potter's Delight" and features genuine green/blue/brown genuine pottery beads, as well as some unique mottled faux pearls in a gold/green coloring, all on a brass wire frame. The bail will hold a cord, chain or neckwire 3mm or smaller in diameter. The pendant measures 2" x 2 1/2" in size and is $30.

Next up is a cross pendant titled "Simply Sapphire". A brass wire frame hosts Czech sapphire blue crystals and gold plated corrugated beads, for a very striking look! This sharp pendant measures 1 1/4" x 2" in size and the bail will hold a cord, neckwire or chain 3mm or smaller in diameter. The price of this unique pendant is $25.

And finally we have this tiny, earthy jewel. Titled "Red Jade", it is made with tiny red jade gemstone beads on a brass wire frame. The bail will hold a cord, chain or neckwire 3mm or smaller. This little gem measures a mere 3/4" x 1 1/2" in size. The price of this pendant is $20.

EMAIL ME to acquire any of the jewels shown. All prices include shipping.

Currently on the work bench is another wire sculptured design I've been allowing to develop itself, as I did the strawberry pendant. This new design is looking like it's taking the shape of a poodle! So we'll see what comes out of that one!

New painting..."Our Secret Place" & New Cross pendant

THIS PAINTING IS SOLD

It's been an exciting week....I finished a large diptych painting! The name of the paintnig is "Our Secret Place". Many years ago - when my husband and I were first dating - we had a special place we visited in the woods at our local park. In the fall, these colors were so prevelant there, and that is what inspired the colors in this work.

It was a challenge to paint two panels this size together. Since there was no room in the studio, I had to back the car out, unfold the ping pong table, and paint in the carport using the ping pong table (with no net) as my support. It was fun - the weather was perfect and the bugs stayed away!

More exciting news...I'm changing my diet and getting back to healthy eating. I've lost 4 pounds this week and my eyesight is already improving! I had no idea my diet could have been causing my vision problems..but it looks like it did. I actually was able to see better, and for the first time in months, I made a piece of jewelry! WOOHOO!

This is a cross design I came up with. I've always loved crosses and have been looking for a good design for a "base" that would work well, and that I could add the accent beads to...well it all came together yesterday and I could actually SEE well enough to do all of this wirework. I did have to wear my reading glasses toward the end. I'm really happy with how this one turned out. I've included a photo below. I was thinking about making some of these to put up on Ebay, as I already have so many supplies here. What do you think? I'm running out of canvases for paintings and unfortunately, until I sell some of what I already have painted, I can't buy anymore. So I figure my time might be well spent to use up these jewelry supplies and make something people might enjoy. Comments welcome! (click on the photo to see the larger version)

Aquarium/Fish Brooch, Snow Owl Bead/Pendant & Twisted Pod Pendant

Good afternoon! Three more jewels have emerged from the studio and I hope you'll enjoy these - they are each different and unique!

The first piece shown is a pin/brooch and it's what I call an aquarium scene, with a fish swimming against the backdrop of a coral wall. Growing up from the plant at the bottom is a large piece of genuine mother of pearl I've wired in for extra accent. The name of this brooch is "Under Sea" and you can bid on it here.

This next piece is quite unusual and artistic. I don't know what the clay was thinking when it formed itself into this shape, but the more I look at it, the more I like it. I completed the design in a coral color and strung a brass wire through the center to create the pendant bale. On the wire reside mother of pearl gemstone chips. This pendant is titled "Twisted Pod" and you can bid on it here.

The final piece in this posting is an art bead or pendant. There's a horizontal hole behind the snow owl's eyes to string a cord, chain or wire. I think "Snowy" turned out just as cute as can be, especially with his little "branch" I've wired in under his feet, which has 6 genuine Unakite gemstone chips (hey, they were the color of leaves - I figure they make a neat branch!). You can bid on "Snowy" here if you desire to take him home with you!

Thanks for looking at my jewels - I hope they will brighten your day as much as they brighten mine!
