KEEPER OF THE FLAME Large Pendant in Hand Woven Setting

Years ago, I used to enjoy bonfires with some friends on cold winter nights. I don't miss the friends ~ but I do miss being mesmerized by the flickering flames in the dark of night. This pendant is a tribute to a favorite pasttime.

Although I already had a pattern in these colors made up, on this piece, I specifically crafted the design just as I would one of my paintings...adding bits of color at a time until I achieved the look I was after. Just like watching those bonfires...making this pendant was soothing and mesmerizing. Especially since there's over 25 feet of wire woven to create the setting...that took a while! :)
